Job Summary:
A new, private club located in the Dallas Arts District is seeking a full-time pastry chef. Opening in the fall of 2024, this exclusive club will offer indoor golf & hunting simulators, indoor & outdoor pickleball courts, spa amenities, and an unparalleled dining experience. Working under a Michelin-trained executive chef, the role will include preparing breakfast pastries, baking bread in-house, and crafting quality desserts. The club will offer limited breakfast items and be fully open for lunch and dinner six days per week.
Duties:
· Supervise and oversee culinary staff in the daily preparation of desserts & baked goods.
· Create a diverse array of breakfast pastry & dessert options with guidance from the executive chef and club ownership.
· Work with the executive chef to coordinate menu options and create seasonal specials.
· Train and oversee staff in the daily operations of the kitchen.
· Create recipes, track inventory, and coordinate the procurement process with appropriate vendors & the executive chef.
Skills:
· Prior experience in a commercial bakery or restaurant
· Proficiency in using commercial kitchen equipment
· Knowledge of dessert recipes and baking methods
· Ability to work efficiently, both with a team or independently
· Physically able to use kitchen supplies (i.e. lift 50 lbs.)
· Knowledge of POS systems and ability to inventory & budget in appropriate software
· Must be able to communicate clearly, respectfully, and efficiently.
Preferred:
· Proficiency in English and Spanish
· Previous managerial & hospitality experience
· Easily adaptable in a kitchen environment

Pay: $20.08 - $24.18 per hour
