Executive Pastry Chef - Casino oversees the operations of the Pastry function of the kitchen. Develops and prepares dessert menus and recipes for baked goods. The Executive Pastry Chef - Casino manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Executive Pastry Chef - Casino typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. For nearly two decades, DoubleShot has been synonymous with serious coffee. For most of that time, we’ve also produced a wide range of pastries, muffins, breads and breakfast items. We have our go-to favorites but are always looking to improve, both in selection and quality.
We need a reliable team member who likes being the first one in the building and wants to expand their baking skills to a sophisticated coffee-drinking crowd that enjoys a good scone or crumb cake.
Ours is a small kitchen, busy in the morning hours, that compliments our coffee counter. The ideal candidate will have a knack for reading the clientele and making (and marketing, with samples and word of mouth) tasty treats that become as distinctive as the coffee we’re known for.
Training and education in the field is a plus, and some professional baking experience a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
