Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads and flatbreads. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
Duties
-Prepare and develop a set recipe for our flatbreads and assist with making those weekly.
-Prepare recipes for pastries that we can sell at our coffee shop.
-Prepare recipes for items needed for the BLOCK
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry, specifically in pastry or baking roles
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
