Develops and tests recipes and sources ingredients to create unique pastries and baked goods. Being a Executive Pastry Chef creates dessert menus that complement meal offerings, appeal to diners and maximize profits. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. May require an associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Pastry Chef supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Executive Pastry Chef typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. CocuSocial, one of the largest culinary experience providers in the US, is seeking experienced Chef Instructors to teach fun and interactive in-person cooking classes in Orange County, CA. The classes will be hosted at our spacious and functional partner venues like hotels, restaurants, and cafes (with ovens).

Ideal candidate for this position:
- Be passionate about food and eager to share your love for cooking and baking with local foodies
- Professional culinary background
- Minimum of 2 years-experience teaching recreational cooking classes
- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable teaching any of the following dishes:
Pastry, Baking & Dessert- French Macaron, Choux Pastry, Chocolate Truffles, Doughnuts, Croissant, Italian Desserts, and Pizza
Main responsibility
- Lead and organize the entire class, including purchasing ingredients, setting up, teaching the class in a hands-on manner, and cleaning up after the class.
- Ensures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the experience by keeping work area and guest areas clean and organized.
