Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. May require an associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Pastry Chef supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Executive Pastry Chef typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. About the Job:
As a pastry chef at the Columns, you will be responsible for prepping, cooking and plating menu items in accordance with the recipes and standards of our culinary team, led by Chef Paul Terrebonne. Must be well organized, clean and focused to prepare for and execute service, and maintain a pristine working environment at assigned station. A creative mindset with strong attention to detail is essential.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 years of experience in a similar position and be able to work mornings. Above all applicants need to have a passion for food and hospitality. Must be great at multitasking and team orientated, as well as a positive attitude towards providing hospitable service for both guest and employees.
