    JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt Position

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

    Position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide comprehensive support to JCUA’s Executive Leadership team, Board of Directors, and Legal representatives in all areas as directed while being able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive records.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Will be tasked with performing administrative duties that include word processing, record keeping, and other clerical duties as needed and including:

    • Manage executive calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
    • Coordinate, prepare, and distribute materials for Executive meetings, including Board meetings.
    • Attend Board of Director meetings and prepare minutes and summaries of those meetings.
    • Work as a liaison with various departments to maintain databases and files as directed, which may include, but is not limited to, legal, general, property easements, and to distribute information where needed.
    • Maintain and update JCUA’s website and social media accounts, including monitoring media coverage and social media platforms, and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
    • Assist Executive Leadership team in developing and distributing press releases, newsletters, and other communications materials to media outlets and stakeholders.
    • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    • May periodically be tasked with performing general office duties such as answering phones, managing mail, and possibly ordering supplies.
    • All other duties as deemed necessary.

    DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma (or GED) is required while an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Public Relations or related field would be desirable
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and various social media platforms.
    • Minimum of five (5) years office experience required.

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS MAY INCLUDE

    (But are not limited to):

    1. Must be able to lift and carry light loads.

    2. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

    3. Must be able to drive and be insurable on Authority's auto insurance policy.

    4. Must maintain a residence which allows a reasonable response time.

    REPORTS TO: Director of Finance & Administration

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $21.15 - $31.73 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
