Develops and tests recipes and sources ingredients to create unique pastries and baked goods. Being a Executive Pastry Chef creates dessert menus that complement meal offerings, appeal to diners and maximize profits. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. May require an associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Pastry Chef supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Executive Pastry Chef typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We have an amazing Baking Team of six people, and we are looking to add 1 new team member! We are hoping to find someone who would like to grow within this field. We have recently moved our bakery into a brand new, state of the art facility with a coffee roastery attached!
Job responsibilities and requirements
- Morning Bake! Work 2 morning shifts from 3 - 11am. The balance of your schedule is very flexible, and you'd be expected to work around 20 more hours (30-40).
- Have a drivers license
- Bring your skills and experience to our team and offer your creative input on new menu items, events, and ways we can improve
- Assist in preparation of doughs, mixes, breads, syrups, et
- Commit to perfecting the craft of pastry making

- Salary: Starting pay between $23 - $24, commensurate with experience. We do guaranteed raises twice a year
