Develops and tests recipes and sources ingredients to create unique pastries and baked goods. Being a Executive Pastry Chef creates dessert menus that complement meal offerings, appeal to diners and maximize profits. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. May require an associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Pastry Chef supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Executive Pastry Chef typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are looking for an Executive Chef to lead culinary execution at our Bend Public House! As Executive Chef you will lead and develop our kitchen team, overseeing the daily culinary operations and directing menu planning and development. In this role it is critical to possess a strong knowledge of culinary techniques, various cuisines, and cooking styles, as well as a solid understanding of labor and food costs to achieve financial and profitability goals. Creating efficiencies and ensuring consistency in the kitchen is key, as is having the skills to mentor and teach your team. We are looking for someone who will inspire the team through a creative, innovative, and collaborative approach, with a commitment to quality and guest experience.
This role will operate out of our Public House in Bend, Oregon and candidates will need to live in the Central Oregon area.
