NPG of California is seeking a dynamic producer to join our talented team. We're looking for someone who has all the important and necessary traits: attention to detail, accuracy, a strong work ethic, sharp writing and organization skills and a strong flair for compelling television. But it's much more! We're the news organization on the move in our market, across all parts of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. There are amazing stories to tell here. You get to serve a diverse audience of viewers in many different locales. There is a strong team of talented and passionate people in place to help you put on the best possible newscast. As with all of us in television news, this isn't for the faint-of-heart (you have to be great under extreme deadline pressure,). Our producers also start on the overnight shift, producing the morning news for a passionate television audience before moving on to other shifts. This role is NOT for those who are looking to be on-air. You must have a degree in Broadcasting or Journalism. You must be able to show us how you would approach producing and showcasing content, and how to keep it fresh in different broadcasts. If you want to be part of a dynamic newsroom that thrives on breaking news and creating compelling content every day, we want to see your work.
