Executive Sous Chef - Casino manages the operations of the kitchen in absence of and in assistance with the Executive Chef. Oversees the preparation of food and inventory levels of the kitchen. Being an Executive Sous Chef - Casino may be responsible for scheduling and training employees. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Executive Sous Chef - Casino typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Sous Chef - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Non-Gaming License.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in food preparation and demonstrated supervisory skills.
Physical: Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for periods up to four (4) hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, and other items up to 50 pounds in weight. Requires normal vision, including color acuity and depth perception, reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, finger dexterity, and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to perform safely and effectively in conditions of wet floors and temperature extremes.
