The role you’ll contribute:

The primary purpose of this job position is to assist in the management of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Food Nutrition Services to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for overseeing hot/cold food preparation including accompaniments and garnishes according to specific diet requirements.

• This position has primary responsibility for the direction and development of culinary staff and inventory positions.

• Assures that food production employees are properly trained and supported in order to accomplish their job routines.

• Conducts ongoing culinary education in all aspects of food and cooking.

• Develops and evaluates staffing levels for current and forecasted needs.

• Organizes food production staff in order to ensure a cost efficient operation.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• 1 year of professional Chef/Cook experience

• Culinary certification
