Executive Steward oversees staff responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Assists in cleaning equipment or food preparation areas as needed. Being an Executive Steward is responsible for inventory control and kitchen equipment, item management. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations. Additionally, Executive Steward may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Steward supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Executive Steward typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee the daily operations of the feed mill, including production, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficiency and compliance with all regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to meet production targets and client demands.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all feed products meet the required standards and specifications.
- Lead, train, and develop mill staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of mill equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal productivity.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and promoting safety awareness among employees.
- Analyze production data, prepare reports, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in using feed mill software and technology.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
