Executive Steward oversees staff responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Assists in cleaning equipment or food preparation areas as needed. Being an Executive Steward is responsible for inventory control and kitchen equipment, item management. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations. Additionally, Executive Steward may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Steward supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Executive Steward typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act a Steward/Dishwasher in our dining facilities. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef and/or their designee, the steward is to perform all duties to ensure the dining facilities are cleaned and sanitized. Performs duties in accordance with local and state health requirements. Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smooth run department.
