The J Bar Yard Steward is a crucial member of our team - Are you the one we're looking for?  The Yard Steward is responsible for the preparation of our units and inventory to make sure the day gets off to a great start. This job is well suited for a person that is able to follow directives and adjust attention based upon the current circumstances.  The J Bar Yard Steward needs to be able to work both independently and as part of a group. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, can multitask, and follow through with action plans set by the Sr. Yard Steward and Principle Support Services Steward. Job Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Pay: $18 per hour
• Schedule: 4 Day Work Week (10-hour shift), Overtime available
• Location: Burnet, Texas

Essential Duties

This positions’ daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a positive attitude
• Prepare vehicles and unit inventory for daily routes
• Follow task lists to ensure safety and maintenance priorities
• Organization of materials, consumables, and inventory
• Maintain Shop: Stow away tools/equipment | Sweep Shop | Remove Trash
• Maintain Chemical Room: Keep Organized | Keep chemicals safely secure
• Maintain Wash Bay: Clean Floor | Roll up Hoses | Stow Equipment
• Cleaning of Portable Toilet Equipment: Refer to SOP
• Repair Toilet Equipment
• Stage Toilet Equipment on Yard

Experience

• This is an entry level position

Skills and Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, lie, or walk for 6–10 hours within a given day while operating within shop and Maintenance yard. 
• Frequently lifts, transfers, or moves up to 80lbs
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are necessary to perform the essential job duties. 

Working Conditions

Mostly outdoor, on property exposed to various environments such as rain or heat. Frequently exposed to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Frequently uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
