Executive Steward oversees staff responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Assists in cleaning equipment or food preparation areas as needed. Being an Executive Steward is responsible for inventory control and kitchen equipment, item management. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations. Additionally, Executive Steward may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Steward supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Executive Steward typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary: Performs stewarding daily shift duties of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with company/industry/governmental guidelines specific to duties. Responsible for machine and/or manual ware washing of all china, glass, flatware, pots and pans, trays, cooking utensils and cutting boards. As well as organization and storage of cleaned items listed above. Responsible for floor cleaning and maintenance of assigned Food and Beverage outlets. Responsible for garbage maintenance, disposal and recycling procedures.
Qualifications: Ability to read and write to 8th grade level. On the job training will be provided for applications with little or no experience. The team member must have the ability to push/pull carts weighing approximately 75-100 pounds.
Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
