$22.17/hr minimum - $33.26/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Responsible for education exercise prescription, and risk factor modification in patient with cardiac, pulmonary or metabolic disorder.

Responsibilities

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Provides patient specific disease and procedure education.
• Provides individualized patient exercise prescription.
• Identifies patient signs and symptoms.
• Provides patient with tools for positive behavior change.
• Provides supervision to assistants and students.
• Participates with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor or Master’s in Exercise Science or relevant health related field.

Licenses and Certification

• Required: American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) (ASCM Exercise Physiologist certification is NOT accepted).
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
• BLS

Experience and Skills

• Technical Experience: 3 years in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation preferred
• Knowledge of electrocardiograph interpretation.
