Exercise Physiologist jobs in Grand Rapids, MI

1. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist-Non-invasive (RCVT), or eligible, preferred. Registered nurses and other allied health personnel, with appropriate training.
2. Associate degree in allied health specialty required, or bachelor degree preferred.
3. Possess thorough background and understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, hemodynamics, pathophysiology and graded exercise/pharmacologic stress testing protocols.
4. Skilled knowledge and operation of cardiac diagnostic equipment.
5. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
6. Previous experience preferred.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

1. Performs pharmacologic and graded exercise stress testing procedures in accordance with ACC/AHA guidelines.
2. Demonstrate ability to operate, maintain, and calibrate stress testing and resuscitation equipment.
3. Perform adult and pediatric electrocardiograms.
4. Review patient charts and performs patient assessments to optimize and perform symptom-focused procedures.  Acquire and analyze data to provide/prepare worksheets for medical staff review and interpretation.
5. Travel to off-site location(s) to perform duties.
6. Function in an educational capacity for patients, patient’s family, nurses, physicians, and other audiences relative to skill.
7. Participate in departmental/hospital quality assurance and clinical competency process.
8. Cross-train to perform other duties where appropriate. These duties may include, but not be limited to Holter Lab procedures and duties, etc.
9. Other duties as assigned with reliable predictable attendance.
