Exercise Physiologist develops, implements, and evaluates exercise programs for patients. Conducts testing that assesses cardiovascular and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Being an Exercise Physiologist follows testing protocols and selects appropriate testing protocol for the patient. Monitors patient during testing. Additionally, Exercise Physiologist calculates and records testing results. Coordinates with cross-functional patient care teams. May design exercise prescriptions, instructional materials, home exercise guidelines, and discharge instructions. Conducts exercise training sessions for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. Typically reports to a manager. The Exercise Physiologist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. We are seeking adjunct health, wellness, nutrition, physical education, group exercise, and exercise science instructors for Cameron University in Duncan and/or Lawton.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester in multiple course formats (online, hybrid, traditional face to face). Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
For courses in baccalaureate programs, a Master’s Degree in the field of instruction is required. 18 hours of academic work in the specific field, and significant experience in the field can establish eligibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in related discipline.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
