Exercise Physiologist develops, implements, and evaluates exercise programs for patients. Conducts testing that assesses cardiovascular and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Being an Exercise Physiologist follows testing protocols and selects appropriate testing protocol for the patient. Monitors patient during testing. Additionally, Exercise Physiologist calculates and records testing results. Coordinates with cross-functional patient care teams. May design exercise prescriptions, instructional materials, home exercise guidelines, and discharge instructions. Conducts exercise training sessions for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. Typically reports to a manager. The Exercise Physiologist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Therapeutic Exercise Instructor, known internally at Airrosti as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), will work as a team with an Airrosti Certified Provider (licensed Chiropractor or Physical Therapist) to give patients the best one-on-one musculoskeletal care on the planet. The CRS is responsible for the following:

A relevant bachelor’s degree and/or previous work experience as a Physiotherapy Technician, Rehab Technician, Chiropractic Assistant, Athletic Trainer, Personal Trainer, etc., are not required (but are strongly preferred). Candidates must be comfortable and capable of working in a one-on-one, hands-on, active rehab environment.

CRSs receive four weeks of in-depth, paid training, at the Airrosti Support Center (ASC) in San Antonio, TX, before joining an Airrosti practice in Ohio, Texas, Virginia, or Washington. This unique position offers training in rehabilitation exercises for musculoskeletal injuries/conditions and business development, allowing CRSs to work hands-on with patients and participate in healthcare-related community events. This position has upward mobility within other departments throughout the company.
