Requirements:

Must be U.S. Citizen.
Degree/Education Phy Ed degree - bachelor

Minimum Qualifications:              

• Education:  Graduate from a program in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, sports medicine or wellness accredited by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP).
• Certification:  Certified Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM);  Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
• Experience:  One year of experience as an Exercise Physiologist after graduation.

Duties:

Responsible for the implementation and management of fitness programs at the CCC, including oversight, scheduling of activities, fitness assessments, tracking and retention, group instruction, exercise recommendations, group exercise classes for traumatic brain injured (TBI) patients, instruction on cardiovascular equipment, free weights, and strength training equipment and rehabilitation/post-rehabilitation, all specialized toward the TBI population (PHTBI).
Perform administrative duties, which include maintenance of statistical records of workload, participating in education programs, and participating in clinical staff quality assurance functions.
Serves as advisor to the various athletic/recreation/quality of life committees to promote available athletic, fitness, and recreational programs and facilities and to get feedback on the needs of their personnel and their views of overall athletic, fitness and recreational programs.
Ensures proper preparation, maintenance, confidentiality, and submission of correspondence, records, reports, position descriptions, manuals, and other guidelines.

Start date: 

• As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation)

• Week-Days
• 8 - Hour Shift
• 6:30 AM, 3:30 PM

Ability to commute:

• Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
