Job Description Summary:
Pinpoint seeks a detail-oriented, professional, experienced, and motivated individual with a history of success and passion for how great marketing and ideas can create meaningful connections between consumers, companies, and brands. You will lead all aspects of fabrication from ideation, planning, building, and prioritizing tasks, while working with a team of professionals to meet customers and company goals. At times, you will be responsible for the installation schedule and field supervision for high-level projects and following up with the team as needed to ensure successful steps are taken to adhere to our process, best practices for production standards, and verifying all aspects of quality control.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Utilize your carpentry skills to accurately cut, shape, and assemble various materials, including wood, metal, acrylic, PVC, and others, to construct exhibit and display components.
· Collaborate with designers and project managers to interpret design plans and specifications required for custom exhibits, experiential marketing sets, custom signage, and displays.
· Ensure precise measurements, alignments, and connections to achieve the desired aesthetics and functionality of the exhibits and displays.
· Identify and troubleshoot production issues that may arise during the construction process and make necessary adjustments and modifications to maintain the quality and integrity of the professionally finished product.
· Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that all exhibits and displays meet high standards before delivery.
· Lead a team during off-site installation projects, both within and out of state, to ensure the accurate and precise installation of exhibits and displays provide guidance to team members, assign tasks, and manage the installation process effectively.
· Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while operating various power tools, CNC routers, and laser cutters safely and efficiently.
· Communicate effectively with the design team, project managers, and clients to clarify requirements prior to starting and provide updates to ensure timely completion and delivery of projects. Assist in sourcing and procuring necessary materials for projects, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.
· Keep accurate records of project-related information, including measurements, material usage, and installation details.
· Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and tools related to exhibit construction and carpentry.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative ideas to enhance the quality and efficiency of projects.
Skills and requirements needed to succeed:
● Minimum 5 years of building and fabrication experience related to exhibits, display, or experiential activations
● Minimum 3 years of off-site installation and site supervision
● Experience with power tools, and woodworking-related equipment
● Willingness to travel for high-level installation projects as needed
● Proficiency in Illustrator, Corel Draw, and Photoshop preferred
● Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
● Experience with file management and ripping software
● Experience with estimating projects, cost savings strategies, and knowledge of basic math
● Ability to provide creative yet practical solutions to problems in the production shop and on job sites
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment that requires rapid turn-around times and focus
● Ability to efficiently and comfortably work in high elevated environments
● Ability to easily lift 50lbs
● Forklift Certification preferred
● OSHA 10 Certified, lift operator certified, and DOT medical card
● Has a clean driving record with the capability to drive a company vehicle
● Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and exceptional organizational and project management skills
● High energy, yet level-headed personality with a “can-do” attitude
