Exhibit Designer - Museum designs and constructs museum collections, exhibits, and special projects. Researches ideas and materials for an exhibit, recommends solutions for design problems, and utilizes design techniques to produce desired visual effect and educational message. Being an Exhibit Designer - Museum may require a master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Exhibit Designer - Museum gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Under the guidance of the Creative Director, this position will contribute to the successful creation of exhibit designs.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
• Collaborate with a cross functional team to develop designs that are compelling solutions that meet and exceed the client’s expectations.
• Produce creative presentations of exhibit structures and components for trade shows and events using related presentation software.
• Work with the client and sales team to define the goals of each project.
• Communicate with external customer when supported by Sales, Senior Designer & Design Director.
• Manage multiple design projects in a fast paced work environment.
• Create, evaluate and analyze new design ideas.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field required
• Ability to learn 3D Studio Max
