A project manager monitors the planning and production of jobs from start to finish and ensures that products meet clients’ specifications and quality expectations,.

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM (additional overtime as needed).
- Location: On-Site at RS Display, Inc. in Gilroy, CA; approximately 10% traveling as needed.
- Compensation: $80,000 – 105,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

Job Duties
- Project oversight from inception to completion, including but not limited to estimating, participation in kickoff meetings, production scheduling, and coordination with personnel regarding necessary tasks including CAD detailing, material purchasing, graphics, production/warehouse activity, packing, shipping logistics, on-site coordination, and return inspections.
- Work closely and effectively with customers through various forms of communication regarding the details of their project and its specifications.
- Regularly collaborate with sales team in order to deliver the most excellent customer experience possible.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings, including status updates, problem-solving, and decision-making processes.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Create and manage overall Project Timelines and specific department timelines as needed for production; communicate about and work to resolve scheduling conflicts effectively and in a timely manner.
- Creation of project management paperwork, including but not limited to contracts, quotes, labor estimates, change orders, show service estimations, and shop labor schedules.
- Research information from 3rd party vendors, show site I&D packets, etc.
- Communicate with show site installation and dismantle labor teams to assure a positive customer experience on show site.
- Create shipping manifest inbound documents for assigned projects.
- Shop inventory management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with custom building, fabrication, shop and warehouse work
- Comprehensive knowledge of planning systems, scheduling techniques, process management, workflow, team negotiation, and conflict management.
- Ability to write and read detailed work orders, and clearly read drawings/ plans of work to be performed.
- Experience with preparing estimates/cost proposal quotes.
- Proven experience managing projects of varied size in a shop production environment.
- Experience in and technical knowledge of fabrication within the tradeshow events industry.
- Knowledge of best work practices and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Computer skills (specifically Microsoft Office Suite)
- Personal commitment to a strong work ethic, product quality, and successful customer experiences.
- Excellent customer service skills, including professional phone and email communication abilities.
- Excellent time-management skills and strong multi-tasking abilities; ability to manage several projects with varying deadlines.
- Availability to work overtime when necessary for job progress and deadlines. Willingness and ability to travel for site inspections and installations (approximately 10% travel), occasionally work holidays, weekends, etc.
