Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Saturday (Some late nights and early mornings may be required) Open to both full time and part time applicants.
Compensation: Hourly pay based on experience, plus tip share
Summary of Position:
As an Expeditor at Turf Club, you will be the crucial link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of dishes to guests. Working closely with the kitchen and serving staff, you play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Coordination with Kitchen:
- Communicate with kitchen staff to track the progress of each order.
- Ensure that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
2. Order Assembly:
- Organize and assemble completed dishes on trays or plates for serving.
- Garnish and inspect each dish to ensure it aligns with established standards.
3. Communication with Servers:
- Liaise with serving staff to coordinate the timing of dish delivery to tables.
- Communicate any special instructions or modifications from guests to the kitchen.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct final quality checks on all dishes to guarantee consistency and adherence to standards.
- Address any discrepancies or issues with the kitchen team promptly.
5. Efficient Workflow:
- Maintain a smooth and efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining area.
- Coordinate with servers to ensure all orders are delivered in a timely manner.
6. Flexibility in Schedule:
- Be available for flexible working hours, including some late nights and early mornings as required by the operation.
7. Communication:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to facilitate seamless service.
- Report any concerns or delays to the Sous Chef for resolution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Expeditor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
