    Summary

    This position is focused on optimizing the flexible manufacturing delivery system. The first priority is to ensure a superior customer experience through orchestrating that all functions of the organization ensure a quality product leaves our facility and arrives on-time to our customer. The Expeditor identifies and resolves obstacles preventing the timely flow of orders. This position must possess a high level of organizational skills, people influence skills, and be familiar with manufacturing processes and systems at Loll Designs.


    Principal Accountabilities

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Operate within facility safety guidelines.
    • 1Attend weekly meetings.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
    • Sustain open lines of communication with Production, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Experience and other teams and individuals as necessary to ensure that delivery commitments are met.
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of Loll Designs products, routings, BOMs and standard scheduling practices.
    • Actively coordinate with all team members to ensure customer orders are scheduled and processed effectively through the manufacturing delivery system.
    • Work with appropriate internal teams and external vendors to expedite parts or processing to recover at risk or late customer orders.
    • Communicate progress to appropriate teams for urgent products and at-risk orders.
    • Provide daily notifications and monthly reporting of all late orders including recommended corrective action.
    • Develop communication and reporting mechanisms for weekly visibility on interruptions throughout the manufacturing system.
    • Effectively lead the organization to solve problems related to part(s) and quality issues to ensure a constant flow through the shop.
    • Manage in stock program, providing data analysis, generating reports, and entering replenishment orders.
    • Performs cycle counts and audits on all finished goods.
    • Participate in raw material cycle counts.
    • Collaborate with finance and supply chain to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and completion of physical inventory and/or cycle count processes. Prioritize improvements to reduce shrinkage and improve system accuracy.
    • Develop and manage a program created for the proper disposition of all non-conforming finished goods and unwanted raw materials.

    Education, Experience, Skills and Reasoning

    High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure. Must be computer literate, follow basic e-mail etiquette, and have the ability to read engineering drawings. Effective computer skills: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MAS, and various company software are a definite plus.


    This position must possess a higher level of communication and reasoning ability, as they are required to work with a variety of disciplines. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and engage team members in projects, customer orders, materials and other customer needs. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and plan work. Individual must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Individual must have an understanding of the manufacturing processes.


    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    A combination of office and shop floor. May be required to work in noisy or hot environment and around moving machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for up to 10 hours. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the principal accountabilities.
