Roles and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeper

• Complete all AP and AR responsibilities timely and accurately.
• Completes all bank reconciliations accurately on a daily basis.
• Manages credit card payments.
• Manages sales and use tax to ensure accuracy.
• Manages the monthly closing process.
• Prepares basic analysis of accounts as required.
• Acts as backup for weekly payroll and year-end payroll processes.
• Reviews proper journal entries, account reconciliation, and inter-company accounting transactions.
• Partners with outside CPA firm as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Special Projects and Assignments

• Act as the backup for the per diem program to ensure transfers are completed correctly every week.
• Pulls reports and completes special projects for the Owner.
• Identifies areas of opportunity for improvement in the Accounting and Finance area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite required, with a strong focus on Excel.
• Experience working in a small business environment.
• Proven experience working with internal and external customers.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven self-direction and initiative.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with different personality and communication types.

Working Conditions:
