Exploration Director directs and develops an organization's oil and gas exploration projects. Analyzes and evaluates the opportunities, risk and profits for oil and gas deposits exploration. Being an Exploration Director initiates exploration plans based on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Directs geological and geophysical programs and may have oversight for land acquisition and leasing activities. Additionally, Exploration Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Exploration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Exploration Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Tax Leader | Private Client serves as a trusted advisor and member of various client service teams and must possess significant knowledge of taxation compliance and consulting related to personal, partnership, trust, estate, gift, wealth retention strategies as well as charitable entities managed by ultra-high net worth clients. They will also participate in client development and team management and conduct research to be current as a subject matter expert.

    How you will contribute:
    • Providing tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations
    • Developing, building, and managing client relationships as part of the proposal process
    • Participating in networking activities to further expand business opportunities and client relationships
    • As a highly impactful team member, maintaining functional expertise and understanding of a client's business or family structure is essential to addressing client concerns and challenges
    • Assisting with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff
    • Reviewing and managing projects prepared by tax associates and seniors
    • Effectively delegating responsibilities to others, monitoring efforts of engagement teams
    • Proficiently using technology tools in regular assignments and demonstrating a commitment to improving work processes through the use of technology
    • Successfully researching complex tax issues, applying findings to projects, and clearly communicating those findings in writing

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 9 years or more of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department
    • Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field
    • CPA license or J.D. degree and bar admission
    • Experience managing multiple client engagements
