    Description

    As a pioneering force in the oil and gas exploration industry, Impac Exploration Services is on the hunt for a seasoned, self-driven, and proficient Mud Logger to become a valuable member of our team in Wyoming. The selected candidate will be pivotal in overseeing and analyzing drilling procedures, ensuring top-tier performance and safety, and delivering precise data to bolster our exploration ventures.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise drilling operations and gather real-time geological data, including gas and cuttings samples, to guide drilling choices.
    • Administer and sustain air and electric agitator motors, hotwire and FID gas chromatograph machinery, and other pertinent equipment to guarantee precise data acquisition and evaluation.
    • Utilize TLog mud logging software to record, analyze, and interpret drilling data, providing timely and relevant reports to the drilling team and other stakeholders.
    • Team up with geologists, drilling engineers, and other colleagues to enhance drilling processes and confirm safety and adherence to industry norms and regulations.
    • Communicate efficiently and professionally with colleagues, leadership, and clients to tackle any challenges or queries related to drilling processes.
    • Diagnose and rectify technical complications concerning data acquisition, equipment functionality, and software operations.
    • Show proactiveness in recognizing and instituting enhancements to methods and procedures that amplify efficiency, safety, and data integrity.
    • Stay committed to company guidelines, safety protocols, and industry top practices at all times.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a similar domain (favored but not mandatory).
    • Prior role as a mud logger, ideally in Wyoming or an analogous capacity in the oil and gas sector.
    • Expertise in TLog mud logging software, complemented by outstanding general computer abilities preferred.
    • Knowledge of gas and electric agitator motors, hotwire gas chromatography instruments 
    • Robust problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities, with the knack to react promptly and adjust to evolving scenarios.
    • Stellar communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with the competency to effectively articulate intricate details to varied groups.
    • Timely, dependable, and dedicated to upholding a robust work principle and a constructive demeanor.
    • Self-sufficient and ambitious, with the versatility to operate autonomously and collaboratively.
    • Preparedness to engage in a secluded and demanding setting, which includes extended working hours and potential exposure to severe climatic conditions.
