Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator, Sr. adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator, Sr. may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Extrusion Operator, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing Oriented Polypropylene film. Primary job responsibilities are to safely operate extrusion equipment; effectively manage incoming resin; monitor operating conditions and the orientation process to produce a high quality product; effectively troubleshoot operability and quality issues; process base sheet rolls. Using time efficiently, they proactively take advantage of opportunities to help meet production goals by assisting teammates on the orientation lines as needed.
