Responsibilities / Duties Responsible for setting up and running an extrusion line for both primary and jacket extrusion in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform basic troubleshooting when product is out of spec, return product within acceptable limits, and perform quality checks to ensure product meets customer and listing requirements.
Maintained a clean and safe work area, completes paperwork and reel tags accurately, and prepares for upcoming jobs to ensure paperwork, tooling and materials are available at completion of the current job.
Periodically testing operation of machinery; inspecting parts with precision and measuring tools with accuracy (calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, etc.
Detecting and analyzing safety, quality, machine, or efficiency issues that might occur during the shift, contacting shift leader for assistance when needed.
Safely feeding raw materials or parts into semi-automated machinery for processing. Accurately tagging every wire reel that is produced factory order tag, scrap tag, hold tag, etc.
Requirements High school diploma or GED / equivalent 3 years of extrusion experience in wire and cable (Required) Ability to read and follow work instructions Must be flexible with work tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Moves materials weighing up to 50 pounds Work Schedule Ability to work a rotating shift, long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
