Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator, Sr. adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator, Sr. may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Extrusion Operator, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Summary
Perform duties to install and provide on-demand/scheduled service and training for all general-purpose equipment with a wide variety of industrial and customer specific application machines. This position requires daily travel by auto with frequent overnight stays. Daily drive time is usually from 1 to 6 hours on a given day.
