Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in power plants or manufacturing, ideally in power generation or material handling.
- Previous management experience in industrial facilities preferred, with expertise in chemical or mechanical engineering desirable.
- Proven leadership skills, including project management and cost control.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and HS&E programs.
- Demonstrated success in driving organizational development and process improvement.
Compensation:
- $150,000-$180,000/year base salary depending on experience
