Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for a Director-Facilities and Maintenance to Maintain facilities in a safe operating condition, maintain a preventive maintenance program and resolve immediate operational and/or facility safety concerns. Oversight of facility construction, modernization and modifications including the maintenance, repair, of buildings, grounds and equipment, bidding process and deferred maintenance; supervision of custodial/maintenance staff.

$106,785 - $143,102 per year
HOURS/DAYS:
8 hours per day, 220 days per year

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in job-related field. A combination of education and related experience may be substituted.
Prior job-related experience with demonstrated competence in managing a comprehensive facilities program preferably within a school organization.
LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, COVID 19 vaccination verification (or program-required equivalent), a valid California driver’s license, disclosure of CA-DMV Driver Record (INF-1125) following acceptance of job offer, and pass pre-employment physical examination with lift test.
