Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Someone who believes in the value of team and hard work and has a passion for meeting, if not exceeding, expectations. By working with the General Manager and Management Company this team player will help lead the resort to the highest standards possible by efficiently maintaining all resort facilities, including, but not limited to all structures (interior and exterior), restrooms, laundry rooms, recreation rooms, Pool, RV sites and landscaping. Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Facilities Manager will oversee Ground Maintenance Team Members to meet the daily demands of the resort as well as forecast needs and projects for the future. Through these efforts this department leader will help our resort to be recognized as one of the brightest, cleanest, friendliest, and most profitable resorts in our region.
