Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Facilities Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We are looking for a skilled and talented Facilities Manager at Bay Point Landing! Someone who believes in the value of team and hard work and has a passion for meeting, if not exceeding, expectations. By working with the General Manager and Management Company this team player will help lead the resort to the highest standards possible by efficiently maintaining all resort facilities, including, but not limited to all structures (interior and exterior), restrooms, laundry rooms, recreation rooms, Pool, RV sites and landscaping. Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Facilities Manager will oversee Ground Maintenance Team Members to meet the daily demands of the resort as well as forecast needs and projects for the future. Through these efforts this department leader will help our resort to be recognized as one of the brightest, cleanest, friendliest, and most profitable resorts in our region.

    DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • A knack for providing excellent customer service with every interaction.
    • Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds, bend, squat, and reach.
    • Experience in and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, landscaping, painting, etc.
    • Ease and familiarity working with small tools and equipment.
    • Ability to work independently as well as direct and oversee a team with daily task and project list.
    • A thinker - someone who sees the challenge at hand and can determine the best steps to take in the moment, and the ones needed to follow-through.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Customer Service - Must be able to lead and interact with customer/guests and team members in a positive, pleasant, helpful and professional manner at all times. Outstanding customer service is a primary focus at Bay Point Landing.
    Maintain Working Order- Ensure facilities and common areas are in working order, and repair as necessary and able, working with the General Manager and Team Members as needed.
    Maintain Cleanliness- Work with Team Members to ensure that all guest areas, including restrooms and laundry facilities, maintain a high level of cleanliness and order.
    All Other Tasks as Assigned- All Team Members will be expected to complete other tasks as assigned by their Supervisor.

    Must exercise professional courtesy in all dealings with Public or Staff, including but not limited to:

    Communication- Professional demeanor in all manners of communication on telephone, text, park radios, or communication devices, e-mail, and notices provided to Guests and Staff.
    Dialogue- Courteous and respectful dialogue with staff in team meetings or individual discussion. Respectful and constructive dialogue with Public and Guests, the resort in the highest regard at all times.
    Profanity- Refrain from the use of profanity, racial or sexual inferences, or disparaging comments in the presence of Staff or Public.
    Support- Dutiful implementation of all assignments given, with no dissenting opinions voiced to Staff or Public.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend down, listen, verbally communicate, lift and carry objects up to one hundred pounds, reach above their heads, push equipment and sit for long periods of time.
