Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Facilities Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Purpose: As a Facilities Director at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide support and assistance to the Vice President of Facilities and Administrative Operations that will involve a variety of essential functions monitoring the facilities' operations.

    Job Functions

    These include:

    • Project management.
    • The inspection of tools, equipment, and machinery.
    • Scheduling routine maintenance.
    • Managing resource budgets.
    • Assists in maintaining the safety and security of the facilities, by immediately reporting potential risks to avoid hazards within the premises.
    • Training is facilitated for the employees to mitigate risks.
    • Must maintain excellent communication with the Vice President of Facilities and Administrative Operations as well as with Aspire leadership and the Facilities team.
    • Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

    Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

    • Level II Background clearance
    • Possession of construction, electrical, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, etc., certification is preferred.
    • Possession of a valid Florida driver's license is a requirement for this job.
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and 7-10 years of job-related experience in property/facility management, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical, etc. Should have some experience and understanding of the construction industry.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and codes relative to the business of Aspire's facilities and equipment is required.
    • AHCA (hospital, nursing home, etc.) experience is preferred.
    • Management/leadership experience is preferred.
    • Experience in working with shared leadership and with cross-functional teams.
