Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Facilities Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Our company is seeking a Director of Purchasing with experience in purchasing on large scale multiply facilities in Skilled Long Term Care. Experience in OnCare a plus!

    As the Director of Purchasing Skilled Nursing Facilities candidate, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the procurement and purchasing process for MULTIPLE skilled long term care nursing facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of essential medical supplies, equipment, dietary supplies, and housekeeping supplies while optimizing costs. Your expertise in procurement strategies and vendor management will contribute to the budget and P&L process.

     Director of Purchasing Skilled Nursing Facilities Essential Skills:

    • Responsible to monitor and ensure MULTIPLE facilities maintain set budgets.
    • Experience using Oncare Purchasing software. valuable.
    • Ability to think strategically, develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, and make data-driven decisions. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identified cost savings opportunities and optimize procurement processes.
    • Proven experience in selecting and managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and building successful partnerships. Strong negotiation, communication, and people skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
    • Ability to lead a team, collaborate to streamline processes and optimize supply chain management

    Director of Purchasing Skilled Nursing Facilities Requirements:

    ·         Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement and purchasing for MULTIPLE facilities in the skilled healthcare industry.

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management or a related field.

    Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
