Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Job Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Facilities Director position directs the maintenance and custodial operations of the assigned Branch(es) and Camp - including preventative maintenance and vehicles. Under their responsibilities, the Facilities Director is an on call twenty-four hours, seven day a week position. The Director must be available for all contingencies or ensure appropriate emergency coverage of the facility at all times.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm Schedule can vary depending upon needs of facilities and grounds; 24/7 availability for emergencies
PAY: $47,000-$50,000/year Salary Exempt with full benefit package to include, generous PTO, access to facilities for immediate family members, Medical, Dental, Disability, Life, Vision, EAP, & Pet Insurance, and ability to participate 403B Retirement Savings Plan. Also, once fully vested, the YMCA will pay into a retirement account for you!
