Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc. and monitors the construction process. Being a Facilities Engineer researches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs. Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are met. Additionally, Facilities Engineer typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Huron County Engineer’s Office is accepting applications for the full-time position of Highway Worker 2.
Rate of pay will be $23.47 after a 180 day probationary period.
Highway Worker 2 will be responsible for maintaining and repairing county highway roads and bridges. Position involves usually routine work in the operation of vehicles and/or construction equipment. Responsible for the careful and safe operation of a variety of motorized equipment. This may require being on call 24 hours a day.
Qualifications for the position are completion of secondary education or equivalent and one (1) year of experience working in general construction; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must possess a valid State of Ohio Class A or B CDL and maintain insurability under the Engineer’s insurance policy.
Potential candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
