    Job Description

    The candidate should have a broad-based, as well as system level understanding of facilities-related systems. Candidate will have both project & operational oversight over a variety of areas including chillers, process cooling water, UPW, reheat water, wastewater discharge, acid fume scrubbers, VOC abatement, process gases, CDA, corrosive chemicals, tool install, electrical, controls, fire systems, fab improvements, etc.

    Tasks will include:

    • Prepare plans, bid documents, schedules and cost estimates.
    • Develop project outline to modify building to meet requirements. Prepare detailed mechanical designs and scopes-of-work for a wide variety of projects ranging from office buildings to fab cleanroom construction.
    • Prepare purchase requests, ROI calculations, and executive summaries. This may include creating parts list, ordering parts, contacting vendors, completing all the required paperwork, and working with other groups to complete projects.
    • Coordinate contractors, prepare punch lists and ensure contractors complete all work on schedule.
    • Review procedures and systems to find more cost-effective methods to run systems.
    • Work with various entities to receive conservation rebates for energy, water, etc.
    • Be familiar with the latest technology and determine applicability to implement.
    • Review existing operations and determine ways to reduce costs and/or improve reliability.
    • Find solutions to on-going or repetitive failures on equipment. Implement tracking methodologies.
    • Develop capacity models and trend usage; recommend and implement solutions to add capacity or reduce loads.
    • Use 8D methodology to solve issues, as well as perform FMEAs on systems, etc.
    • Develop KPI's and MBO's for your assigned area.
    • Supervise and develop assigned technicians of various trades.
    • Use a wide variety of hand, power, test and metering equipment and machine tools. Perform miscellaneous related duties as required. Train and assist junior personnel in proper mechanical repair techniques and maintenance of facilities equipment.
    • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and repair on systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical and control systems.
    • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, specifications, and procedures for maintenance activities.
    • Provide emergency after hours support if/when necessary.
    • Ensure proper stocking levels of spares to maintain N 1.


    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent.
    • Facilities semiconductor experience highly preferred.
    • Current knowledge of energy-efficient approaches in HVAC, water conservation, and lighting.
    • Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in ACAD, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
    • Must be quality and safety orientated and able to work with minimal supervision.
