Job Title: Facilities Technician

Reports to: Safe Parking Program Director

Compensation: $20-$25/ hour

Hours: 20-30 hrs a week

Job Purpose:

The Safe Parking Facilities Technician, under the supervision of the Social Services Director, is responsible for minor repairs, maintenance and knowledge of generators, and RV’s, and delivery of materials. Objectives include supportive interaction with participants, business/landowners specific to each host site. The weekly schedule for this position is as follows: Monday-Friday with occasional weekend requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in repair and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, generators, furniture, fixtures, facilities, and grounds
• Knowledge of construction and facility maintenance safety
• Delivery of materials with program vehicle.
• Participate in program meetings and relevant trainings as directed.
• Experience with towing of trailers and other recreational vehicles preferred.
• Treat guests in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Adhere to agency policies.
• Report any facility or host site needs to Social Services Director.

Position Qualifications:

• Qualified and documented experience with applicable maintenance.
• Experience working with low-income and/or houseless persons preferred.
• Desire to work in an organization that serves people who are experiencing poverty and houselessness.
• Knowledge of HIPPA and confidence to adhere to client confidentiality.

Requirements Prior to Hire:

• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of current auto insurance
• Satisfactory criminal background check required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
