    Facilities Engineer

    Onsite – Georgetown, TX - $120-130K

    This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager. This individual is required to manage contractors as in charge of the programming and coordinating the inspection and the repairs. The facility engineer is the one who needs to take part in the testing and calibration of electrical and mechanical systems. There are many other duties attached to it such as demonstrating, building and enforcing the best exercises for all projects and functions within the facility.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Coordinate training activity for the appropriate personnel regarding the design intent, operation, and maintenance of system equipment and mechanical systems.
    • Provide engineering support to the Facilities Manager with respect to mechanical systems as they impact the plant processes and auxiliary systems.
    • Participate fully in company continuous improvement team activities as directed by the Facilities Manager to ensure firm goals are met.
    • Coordinate engineering modifications and new projects for all mechanical installations and plant layouts. Ensure all work is in accordance with local and state regulations. Assume project management responsibilities for any project assigned by management and ensure that all timelines are met.
    • Provide bid specifications for potential vendors as required for specific projects.
    • Provide regular progress reports on the timeline schedules for all projects.
    • Continuously review and consider new technologies as they might apply to the company. Make recommendations to the management team as to their benefits along with feasibility and justification for such technologies.
    • Provide mechanical engineering support as required as it applies to all other aspects of the current and any future production systems.
    • Perform other duties as directed.
    • Visibly leads and supports all company goals as set forth in objectives and targets.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education – Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required. Minimum eight years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.

    Experience/Skills – Minimum of 7 years of facilities engineering experience with at least 2 years of that in a manufacturing environment.

    • Must have working experience with AutoCAD V 12 or better.
    • Must be experienced in reading mechanical, system and layout drawings.
    • Must exhibit strong PC skills.
    • Must have demonstrated project engineering experience.
    • Must have a sound knowledge and understanding of building codes specifically in the area of structural specifications.
    • Must have a demonstrated experience and understanding of mechanical equipment and operational principles of mechanical components and systems.
    • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills required. Demonstrated excellent leadership skills required.
