SHIFT: Day/evening/weekend hours | Flexible based upon the needs of the College
LOCATION: Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as a department lead for the department to college staff, vendors, contractors, and public. Assist in the overall physical plant operations and facilities projects. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):
(40%) Operations
- Oversee facilities software systems.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and yearly monitoring/maintenance of the college’s safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and OSHA Administration.
- Coordinate operations in the in the absence of the Director
- Attend college events which require facilities support (graduation for example)
- Manage disposal of college assets through the appropriate method
- Coordinates and follow up on work orders given to Facilities.
- Maintain department records and inventories.
- Be available on-call.
- Maintain logs, reports, documents, drawings, operations/maintenance manuals and other departmental records.
- Plan, manage and execute planned/preventative maintenance of buildings and equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule custodial, maintenance and grounds projects as directed.
- Develop and document maintenance procedures and processes and identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Requests quotes from vendors for facility planned maintenance, repairs and projects as needed.
(30%) Projects and Planning
- Assist with managing college facilities planning, budgets and procurements.
- Coordinate projects in the in the absence of the Director
- Assist with updating of the multi-year projects and budgets.
- Coordinate overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control while ensuring compliance with WTCs, college and statutory regulations including review of construction drawings and blueprints.
- Run project meetings.
- Maintain logs, reports, documents, drawings, and other departmental records.
- Coordinate efforts of internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- Coordinate office moves.
- Coordinate acquisition, inventory, and installation of furniture
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations.
(30%) MANAGER ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervision is provided to the physical locations in Cleveland, Manitowoc and Sheboygan.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these staff.
- Responsibilities include design position responsibilities, interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; supervise, mentor, and develop staff through the Employee Performance review; reward and discipline employees.
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws to include:
o Develop staff within the maintenance department.
o Address staff and student issues in an effective and timely manner.
o Be an active advocate for LTC in the community.
o Be active in the college by serving on committees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required.
- Five years of relevant occupational experience required.
Note: If educational/certification requirements are not met, candidates may be considered, however the expectation would be that they be met within 5 years of employment.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
MVR CHECK Required – The employee in this position is a potential operator of a Lakeshore Technical College owned vehicle or may be responsible for driving any other motor vehicles on behalf of the College.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to navigate through Windows; access college network system; understand database concepts; and download and manage various applications and files.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and be able to support any software or hardware that is used by the College.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
