Summary of Position
-
Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor areas
-
Manage outside vendor agreements and follow up with outside companies performing duties on the property
-
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs, and documentation of services provided with outside vendors
-
Developing periodic maintenance programs for all sites to ensure all locations are fully operational each day
-
Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
-
Ordering facility supplies for all locations (paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, etc…)

Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals

Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
-
Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff

Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions

Design, preparation, and implementation of Emergency Action Plan as it relates to the facilities

Prepare operation reports, maintenance budgets, and provide analysis of all reports to the Director of Operations

Collaborating with Sr. Management on budgeting for facilities needs

Assist with all facilities planning, space allocations, and cost estimations or equipment
-
Establish and maintain filing systems for all facility vendors, service agreements, contact numbers, and inspection documents for all facility equipment including providing documentation to departments within the building who are required to keep such documentation within their respective areas
Qualifications:

High school diploma (required), facility management, engineering, or direct experience in a related field (preferred)

Certification in facilities management is a plus

At least 5 years of experience in facility management required

Knowledge of HVAC systems, carpentry, and various mechanical and architectural systems

Knowledge of negotiating and purchasing of facility supplies, grounds keeping and equipment repair
-
Basic understanding of elevators, fire alarms, plumbing and other facility-related systems is essential

Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write in English
ADA CONSIDERATIONS

Requires knowledge of the safe utilization of any tools necessary for maintaining facility equipment

Requires use of office equipment, such as computers, scanners, fax machines, phones and copiers
-
Requires the ability to see, hear, walk, stand, sit, climb, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, write and type
-
Medium work: Lift up to 50 lbs to waist height
-
Maximum with moderate lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs for distance up to 10 feet
