FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Work Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm - Mon-Fri
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities. This position will require a strong background in general maintenance, with specific skills in HVAC systems. This role will primarily focus on preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring the overall functionality of our facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine inspections of building interiors and exteriors to identify maintenance needs, including building grounds and landscaping as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems to maintain proper temperature and air quality.
- Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and maintenance projects, as requested by Facilities Manager.
- Compile maintenance requests from various departments and work with Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and submit purchase requests through the inventory department.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with painting, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair common issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and external vendors.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for long periods.
- Manufacturing environment. Exposure to mild irritants (Oils, coolant, alcohol).
- Vision (Near, distance, peripheral)
- Ability to wear PPE—Ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves
