I. SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of all agency properties including building maintenance, mechanical systems, and grounds keeping. Position is accountable for the department’s financial performance, quality of work, use of resources, and customer satisfaction.

IV. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position directly supervises all the maintenance workers.
V. QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited organization and five years building maintenance work experience, three of which were in a supervisory role. College degree in facilities, engineering, business, or construction from an accredited school preferred. Must have working knowledge of all relevant building codes, OSHA requirements, EPA guidelines, and life safety codes. Additionally, practical work experience in real estate, construction, accounting, or engineering desirable.
Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Capable to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, contractors, regulatory agents, and the general public. Must be a team player.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios, percentages, and scales.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and spreadsheets. Capable of motivating subordinates, colleagues, and co-workers. Ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner.
Computer Skills - Must be knowledgeable about Internet software, Microsoft Office components including Word, Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to effectively use or learn Net Facilities, Unitime and any other computer software used by the agency.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations - Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of all required agency training.
Interpersonal Skills Required - Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Problem/conflict resolution skills.
