Job Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for our aircraft manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and safety of our facilities. This role includes managing a team of maintenance personnel, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that all systems and equipment within the facility, especially those related to aircraft production, are functioning efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance and custodial staff.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor work performance.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.
Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans, with a focus on equipment critical to aircraft manufacturing.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for aircraft production machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and structural elements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols relevant to aircraft manufacturing.
Facility Inspections:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs, particularly those related to aircraft production.
- Address issues related to cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
Budget Management:
- Assist in creating and managing the maintenance budget, with a focus on aircraft manufacturing-related maintenance costs.
- Control expenses, track spending, and find cost-effective solutions for our aerospace equipment.
Contractor and Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs, especially for aircraft manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Obtain quotes and proposals for aerospace projects as needed.
Inventory Control:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs, with an emphasis on aerospace systems and machinery.
- Ensure proper stock levels and order replacements when needed.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to facility emergencies, such as power outages, machinery breakdowns, or safety hazards in the context of aircraft manufacturing.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure the safety of occupants and aerospace assets.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations, especially those associated with aircraft manufacturing.
- Stay updated on aerospace industry codes and standards and implement necessary changes.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, including supervisory roles, ideally in an aircraft manufacturing or aerospace setting.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices and relevant regulations, particularly in the context of aircraft production.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time onsite position.
Work Authorization:

Overair expects to pay: $65,000-$90,000 per year. Your level and the compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
