Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description

    1. Provide for the general maintenance of all facilities.
    2. Remodeling and upgrade of all company buildings.
    3. Conduct safety inspections of all company facilities.
    4. Performs necessary duties as the Company’s Safety Officer.
    5. Supervises and assigns the work of vendors.
    6. Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used in the performance of job responsibilities.
    7. Responsible for the maintenance and overseeing the repair of the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in all facility locations.
    8. Performance of general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, and landscaping.
    9. Responsible for the maintenance and overseeing repairs of all company vehicles.
    10. Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
    11. Operates machinery and equipment necessary to carry out job responsibilities, while following all safety guidelines.
    12. Maintain all company owned tools as necessary to perform job functions.
    13. Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
    14. Allocate office space and equipment according to needs.
    15. Submit receipts of any purchases to administrator on a monthly basis.
    16. Run business errands as assigned.
    17. Follow all policies of agency as applicable.
    18. Maintain appropriate boundaries and ethical behavior with clients and other professionals
    19. Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.

    Qualifications


    1. High School Diploma or GED.
    2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in general maintenance or maintenance responsibilities preferred.
    3. Valid Driver’s License.
    4. Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.
    5. Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
    6. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
    7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    8. Excellent organizational skills.
    9. Good analytic/critical thinking skills.
    10. Ability to use/climb a ladder and work at high heights.
    11. Maintains all necessary trainings & certifications.
