Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our Facilities Managers are an essential part of keeping our clubs beautiful. They take pride in maintaining structural integrity through grounds inspections, repair and maintenance of all structural, heating, plumbing, electric, cooling and aquatics equipment.

    Our Facilities Managers take pride in developing a cohesive team by leading, training, motivating, developing and managing their direct reports. They are effective communicators confident in their ability to coordinate and monitor the activities of maintenance associates to ensure the internal and external cleanliness and maintenance of our clubs on a daily basis.

    What you’re all about:
    • Confident in ability to oversee all maintenance and housekeeping tasks while meeting the high demands of a leadership role.
    • An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; OR nine months to one year of related experience and/or training; OR and equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Skilled in several areas of plant facility maintenance including but not limited to:
      • HVAC Systems
      • General Contracting
      • Electrical
      • Painting
      • Plumbing
    • Adept at reading and interpreting documents such as safety roles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Confident speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of our organization.
    • Skilled in applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Experienced in dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
