Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage the organization’s IT network, including software, hardware, and telecommunications systems.
      Provide technical support to staff, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
      Manage and forecast operational expenses related to IT and facilities, ensuring effective budgeting and cost control.
      Administer contracts and oversee relationships with vendors and service providers.
      Implement problem-solving strategies for IT and facilities-related challenges, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
      Generate and present regular reports on IT infrastructure health, facilities maintenance, and operational expenses.
      Supervise the maintenance, renovation, and upkeep of building facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
      Coordinate with senior management to align the IT and facilities strategies with the organization’s objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Associates degree in Information Technology, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
      Experience: 2 years of experience in IT management and/or facilities management, with a proven track record in overseeing operational expenses and infrastructure.
      Skills: Strong technical skills in IT administration, experienced word processing and spreadsheeting, excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication and leadership skills, proficiency in budget management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive in identifying and addressing issues, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
