Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources and Facility Operations

    POSITION OVERSEES: N/A

    Position Overview:

    As Facilities Manager, you will oversee a range of critical tasks related to the efficient functioning of the Lancaster Chamber. Your responsibilities will encompass janitorial services, building maintenance, and operations support. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a well-maintained, safe, and organized environment.

    Building hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. You have the opportunity to collaborate in creating the working hours for this position, ensuring they align with the operational needs of the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    Janitorial Services

    • Maintain cleaning schedule for the building.
    • Order cleaning supplies and equipment.
    • Perform hands-on cleaning tasks (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc.).
    • Respond to emergency cleaning needs (e.g., spills, accidents).
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols across all areas.
    • Promote a clean and hazard-free environment.

    Building Maintenance:

    • Oversee routine maintenance tasks to keep the facility in optimal condition:
    • Conduct regular inspections of the building, identifying repair needs.
    • Address minor repairs promptly (e.g., fixing light fixtures, door handles, plumbing issues, tables, etc.).
    • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs or renovations.
    • Maintain records of maintenance activities.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    Operations Support:

    • Meeting room setup
    • Front desk support
    • Daily lunch coverage
    • End of day support, handling minor tasks when COSS is unavailable
    • Coordinate printing-related activities, including:
    • Execute print requests from Chamber team and building partners.
    • Ensuring timely delivery of printed materials.
    • Maintaining printers, copiers, and other printing equipment.
    • Monitoring ink and paper supplies.
    • Troubleshooting printing issues.
    • Administering bulk mailing process
    • Monitor expenses related to janitorial services, maintenance, and printing,

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related fields.
    • Familiarity with printing processes and equipment helpful.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication.
    • Problem-solving mindset.

    Additional Required Duties:

    • Abide by and follow The Lancaster Chamber Employee Handbook
    • Represent the Lancaster Chamber in a professional manner
    • Attend Operations team meetings and monthly all staff meetings
    • Attend periodic specific training provided by Lancaster Chamber
    • Attend and assist with required Chamber events
    • Perform all other assignments and duties as assigned

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Technology Requirements:

    • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products
    • Adobe Creative Suite experience recommended, but not required
    • Ability to navigate the Internet
    • Ability to learn and utilize Chamber membership software
    • Ability to learn and utilize software related to processing of bulk mailings
    • Ability to learn, utilize, and troubleshoot all print room equipment

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds
    • Ability to move briskly with little to no issues

    Other Requirements:

    • Possession of a valid driver’s license
    • Possession of a registered vehicle
